Credentials
Adele Azar-Rucquoi is the author of Money As Sacrament, Finding The Sacred In Money, A Book For Women (Ten Speed Press/Celestial Arts, Berkeley, 2003). The book helps women transform their relationship to money both spiritually as well as financially. It probes much of life's very meaning via many of money's often perplexing faces. In her work with women Azar-Rucquoi has seen enormous breakthroughs away from fear and anxiety to creative possibilities on how to be with and without money. Her approach takes the route of compassion and she draws from various disciplines and a broad spectrum of faith traditions.
As Sister Mary Adele, Azar-Rucquoi taught for many years in Florida schools. She is an award-winning Toastmaster, a graduate of Manhattanville College in Purchase NY, Barry University of Miami, and the Speakers Academy of the National Speakers Association.
Azar-Rucquoi's talks have taken her around the country as keynote speaker, workshop leader, TV & radio talk show guest. Her essays have appeared in the pages of America, Spirituality & Health, Commonweal, National Catholic Reporter, Praise, and Body & Soul. Her regular weekly column in her local paper, The Sanford (FL) Herald, is called "Meandering$: where spirit & money find each other". There she explores a range of timely topics, from temporal to spiritual, and world to national to neighborhood.
