My name is Tamara Bernal. I am the wife of a wonderful and devoted husband of 4, plus, years, the mother of three, awesome, sons ages 15, 17 & 21, a 1 year old, beautiful, daughter and two adult stepsons. I recently relocated with my family from Madison, WI to Wesley Chapel, Florida. I have been enjoying the adventures and misadventures, of re-establishing our lives here in Florida.
My life has been a crazy blend of blessings and tumult.
My experiences of growing up in the inner city; being a teenage mom; going off to college with a baby on my hip; dealing with racism; my rocky first marriage; my life and death salvation experience; many years of single parenting 3 sons and leaning on the Lord for strength; my many roles as a stay at home, self employed business woman; in real estate, childcare and telecommunications; have created within me a desire to share the many things I have learned and come to believe, through writing.
I have written for various Child Care Resource and Referral newsletters, Helium, blogs on MySpace and for Internet subscribers to my Seeds for the Harvest email list.
It is my desire to write on a variety of topics; everything from parenting, marriage, and relationships, Christian living and women's issues, to business, politics, and the complexities of racism and racial relations in American culture.
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to become a well known and respected writer. Though I have been writing for many years I have not actively pursued, being published, on a full time basis. I now have entered a season of my life which I will be focusing my efforts on living out the dream which I have held on to for many years.
